youth groups

Adrienne Winton , Youth Director

Can you believe we are already half-way through the year? Since August the youth groups have grown over 400%. They have hosted a very successful Kadima convention and USY programs have been fun, engaging, and sometimes just outright silly, but ultimately we finished off 2010 by hosting USYers from Eastern Canada. Limo, WhiteSpace party, surfing Shabbat services and all!

As most of the teens know, my favorite holiday is Tu B’Shevat, which we celebrate this month of Shevat. Tu B’Shevat is the holiday of the trees and a time to celebrate the environment. Kadima has the honor and privilege this month to join three other Kadima chapters in Palm Beach County, as we venture to Hypoluxo Nature Preserve, where we will participate in habitat restoration and planting a few trees. This will take place on January 23, immediately following Hebrew school from 1:00 pm—4:30 pm. The event is free and open to all middle-schoolers.
